Yep, and I'm glad I waited a bit before making the jump to the GL, because when they first introduced them, I was positive that I'd need the 210 to get me going...but just got the 180 two days ago, and it's an absolute BLAST!!!

Not sure if I'll ever need the 140 given the mostly smaller mushballs I surf in at SanO (rarely even head high the majority of the time), but who knows...I never thought the 180 would have got me flying as easily as it does. So fun!!  ;D ;D

Isn't the 180 awesome!?!?
Oh fo sho! After my second time out with it, I was texting some buds who wanted a ride report that..."The GL180 is sick...I can now sell all of my other wings!!:D
Me: 6'1"/185...(2) 5'1" Kings Foil/Wing Boards...7'10 Kings DW Board...9'6" Bob Pearson "Laird Noserider"...14' Lahui Kai "Manta"...8'0" WaveStorm if/when the proning urges still hit.

after seeing lots of video and seeing our local dude ripping on it here I'm guessing the GL140 is the way to go if you want that surfing feel. The cut backs and air hacks that I have been seeing are amazing to watch.

'tainer...  I one of my aviation publications this month there was a reference to the 'Cranked-wing' (?) Mitchell B-25 ..which looks similar to your wing.  In a Google I got this...

"The first few B-25s built—sources vary, but 8–10 airplanes—were built with a constant dihedral wing. Testing at Wright Field showed that the airplane had a slight tendency to “Dutch roll” so all B-25s after those were built with a “cranked” wing, with the outer wing panels having very slight dihedral and giving it the bomber’s characteristic “gull wing” appearance. The two vertical stabilizers were also increased in size."

___________

We use to put those 'telltales' on iceboat and dinghy sails to make it look we knew what we were seeing.  I'd guess more sophisticated analysis can be done with smoke in a wind tunnel but then, what was, good-old-play gets complicated and over thought.  May the fun continue!

This makes me curious about the Starboard foil. Foils do affect a riders style and flow. His looks really good. The best I’ve seen from Zane. Strapless airs are a bonus.

Yeah, that caught my eye also. Guess you just can't rotate them w/o the straps...

Pretty Compelling arguments being made for the GoFoil GL 140.

I had thought it might be too small.  Dave Kalama loves it (listen to Progression Project podcast).  James Casey loves it (https://soundcloud.com/progressionproject/foiling-series-james-casey-3)

Then there is this guy - Eddie Ogata
