Out yesterday with this new Kings board (6'x28.5x4.75") that I'm still in the process of getting the setup of correct on with strap placement, foil placement, and shim requirements with the Angledfoil, and whatnot...but so far having some fun with it, and it seems like it'll only get better as I dial it in more...(fingers-crossed).  :)

EDIT: Thanks to "StandinDan" for the drone footage.

Nice guys. It's about time ;D
It's not as exciting as drone racing, but I guess Dan is willing to shoot slow mo every once in a while. He should see if he can fly it under your board :)
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

Here's a groovy one with Dave and DailyBread.

Looks like more people are flying with their hands OFF the paddle (paddle in one hand).

I used to think this looked kooky.  Jeff Clark was the only person doing it 2 years ago.  But he was also turning harder than anyone else.  It's hard to argue with anything Jeff does in the water.  This technique lets you move your upper body like a short boarder.

Jeff Clark was the only person doing it 2 years ago.

And Laird. And Kai. And ...

Random google search for Laird SUP foil. I've foiled behind him in Malibu a bunch and he only uses one hand when flying.

No offense but I’m not talking about 3 foot waves.  Jeff Clark has been foiling larger waves than any of those guys without jet skis for a long time.  All the big wave stuff from others has been jet assisted.

Kai is pushing the limits. Laird invented the category.   But Jeff has been right there threatening his life and taking off without assistance longer than any of them without 2 hands on the paddle.

I posted a thread about the topic a year ago and no one said “do it this way”.  Kalama has had two hands on the paddle until recently.  It’s all related.

On the topic of big wave foiling here is a video that Clay put together of Jeff Clark from 2 years ago.

I haven't seen anyone else posting big wave foiling Un-Assisted like this.  It takes a combination of gear, location, swell and appetite.

I am dreaming of getting in early and gliding for long-long stretches and I made great strides this weekend.  The GoFoil GL210 wing performed as I had hoped (more to come).

Pretty Compelling arguments being made for the GoFoil GL 140.

I had thought it might be too small.  Dave Kalama loves it (listen to Progression Project podcast).  James Casey loves it (https://soundcloud.com/progressionproject/foiling-series-james-casey-3)

Then there is this guy - Eddie Ogata

Agree!  Talking to one of the folks down here, it sounds like it has more than enough lift.  James also mentioned it would be a great quiver addition, when I was telling him the conditions I use the 180 and when I go back to the IWA (punchy and peaky).  But I am also wondering what new wings were shown in Maui. From the Breeze:  "- GF has a bunch of new wings and equipment landing soon" expanded to: "Mainly tail wings. Then some new front wings will be added, pedestals."

Yep, and I'm glad I waited a bit before making the jump to the GL, because when they first introduced them, I was positive that I'd need the 210 to get me going...but just got the 180 two days ago, and it's an absolute BLAST!!!

Not sure if I'll ever need the 140 given the mostly smaller mushballs I surf in at SanO (rarely even head high the majority of the time), but who knows...I never thought the 180 would have got me flying as easily as it does. So fun!!  ;D ;D

Isn't the 180 awesome!?!?  Interestingly, Dave Kalama does say he uses the 140 in almost all conditions... just had to adjust his foot positioning and style a bit...
