Yesterday was 10 ft @ 12 seconds.  This is what mellow big'r looks like.

Out with Dave W. and Ruby.  Sneaking into waves from behind.

Flying the Iwa with Kai Tail and footstraps on a 7' 4" L41.

I will add that despite the move towards all the modern stubby foil boards when the waves get big you want foam to catch the wave.  This L41 is 30" wide and while it was serving as my backup board it catches wave BETTER than my 6' 6" when things get big.

Two shots below of what the bigger faces looked like.  Dave then Ruby.

I have refrained from posting some of the latest FOIL videos because they are the same old thing.

However this is totally new.

Hawaiians prone foiling getting air all with footstraps.

There are a lot of crashes here but . . . . eventually they will connect and NOT crash.

Dang, while I get the thought and courtesy of it...but not sure I'd want to be leashed to a board w/ the attached hatchet below it that I'm going to be shooting in the air above me, and having a better than 50/50 change of having said leash yank said hatchet back down right on top of me at quite injurious speeds.  :o :-\
Me: 6'1"/185...(2) 5'1" Kings Foil/Wing Boards...7'10 Kings DW Board...9'6" Bob Pearson "Laird Noserider"...14' Lahui Kai "Manta"...8'0" WaveStorm if/when the proning urges still hit.

That's why everyone is using long leashes. But generally you land at coordinate x1y1z1 and the board with said hatchet departs at vector x(n)y(n)z(n) The likelihood of it making it's way back to you is pretty small, even with a tug from a leash. Not zero. But small.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

The odds of winning the lottery are astronomical, but yet some people still win them. Do this enough times....

...and you'll win the "suture lottery" sooner than later...I don't care how long your leash is. ;) ;D

I've been out for a few weeks with a knee injury so dusted off the drone to film the boys chasing some small rollers on the prone foil on New Year's day.
How's the poor guy that lost his boat on the rocks bad way to start the year.

I wasn't sure where to put this.

KAI being the king of the foil is getting KUDOS for extending the progression on the Tow-in board.
