How did we miss this one?

Jamie O'Brien and that guy again, Kai Lenny, towing Pipelines outer reef and having the most fun:

That JOB wipeout at 3:50 when he tries a backflip looks sketchy!  Seems like his foot catches in the strap and that board comes flying at him

I met Zane on a paddle out to Mavericks.  He couldn't have been nicer.  There was a story from the day before when Zane was on his SUP at Mavs.  A set wave comes and Zane appears to be too far inside.  Not knowing who he is someone says "Looks like SUP boy is going to take this one on the head."  Zane does an instantaneous 180, 3 quick strokes and makes an incredible, technically perfect late drop.

The guy then says "Whoa SUP boy's got GAME!$#@"

I should be working but this was just TOO GOOD and has a little bit of foiling.

Makes me want to get back on a SUP again . . . . Ahhhh maybe not.

I've not had the chance to meet Zane, but Kai Lenny, Colin McPhillips, Danny Ching, Emmy Merrill, and Candace come to mind as some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet on the beach when they're there, and it sounds like Zane is the same. Some of the other "pros"could/should take some lessons or cues from these kinds of individuals at how to spread the stoke, and be the true ambassadors of our sport. JMHO...YMMV.  :)
Me: 6'1"/185...(2) 5'1" Kings Foil/Wing Boards...7'10 Kings DW Board...9'6" Bob Pearson "Laird Noserider"...14' Lahui Kai "Manta"...8'0" WaveStorm if/when the proning urges still hit.

met james casey once--he, also, couldnt have been nicer.........

bummed i missed last saturday--that break is a few jetties down from my local, so it's much the same--and the waves looked very fun--and it would have had fun meeting pros and hanging with creek pabst and other zonologists---wasnt in my family cards

yesterday at my local, it was glassy 10mph offshore, head plus one or two on sets, but it was jacking up with unique power, even at low tide---we were worried it's be too soft, but it jacked for 3 hours---caught some serious long standout bombs---crowd was light and all my peeps--fun

florence there were people from god knows where who showed up all aggro with attitude--happens when the forecast is excellent

yesterday got cavalier about kicking a closing right in time and fell in front of both the board and wave----dumb---luckily i got away with only a bad leg bruise (and ego bruise) id been in three hours and was due to get out anyway, so i limped out---ill be fine by next waves on sunday

i was tired and pleased id been ripping nicely--guard goes down and whoopsie--kinda like cookie's kidney shot

When Zane came out to NYC a couple weeks ago, we had him come down for a foil clinic.  Zane, Kim and Matty, incredible people each one.  Getting up and foiling for the first time was just the icing in the cake.

My first flight, photobombed by Zane!

That's a picture you should frame.

Clay are you holding out on us?

Great compilation.  You should add the part about all the sharks that you have seen while surfing too  8)

Thanks Denton!  I thought about posting and then in struggling with where was the appropriate place I gave up...

And in general yes I am holding a lot of great foil footage of all types of foilers from this year all over California.  Still deciding how/when/where this video belongs...Open to all ideas
Aloha, I welcome and appreciate all responses of positivity and good feeling.

That was great Clay. Soooo... It's a bit of a learning curve?
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.
