TAHOE SUP ALPINE 11 TRAVEL READY PACKAGE???
« on: August 24, 2017, 09:23:26 PM »
I just came across this board and am curious if anybody has information or owns one. It looks pretty cool and complete but not sure on quality.

I saw a couple of posts but no responses and a few years back.

It's a complete package AND inflatable.

Anyone?

Thanks!

I'm not familiar with this. Post a picture or a link and people could maybe help you more.

Hi, to make it short, at that price don't expect hi quality. I'm sure it will do the job for many but some important informations are missing:
- recommended PSI, (12, 15, 20... it makes a difference )
- any info about fins
- dimensions, volume (they only give the volume of the dry bag?!)
- rocker line
- weight
- what kind of construction
- year of release
...
I stop, I have to wash dishes

Found some answers on their site. No pump included? (Still haven't washed the dishes!)

I'm not an expert on inflatables but from browsing elsewhere on the Zone it seems like it may be better to stick with a better known company.

There are 2 strategies you can take with iSup:
1) Go cheap. Max out fun in an inflatable toy kind of way. Let go after 2 years.
2) think more long term

For 1) look for fast fun and drop. (hint: you will still need a pump)

For 2) look for value. Over time. A good iSUP board can be pumped higher pressure, which means stiffer. All the girls I know tell me this counts more than size. Look at pump, bag, fin, leash etc too. Translates to resale value.

For 300.-, why not. But make sure they give you a pump with it.
