SUP surfing malibu?

Hey ya'll!

Been awhile since I've been on the forum! Anyways, I wondered if ya'll could point me int he right direction in terms of the Malibu vibes on Sup surf. Y'all recommend any breaks where I won't get in a fight? First trip to the Bu!

Careful in Malibu. If it's still anything like it was during my days, them waters are territorial. Had a few squabbles in them waters. Never went alone. Like most that chimed in before the hiccup, time is your only friend. Make your bones and respect is earned. Sad but true.

Tread lightly and bring a friend.

I think just showing basic respect will earn you respect in the Bu assuming you know what you're doing. You'll get the initial attitude but if you just ignore it the bad vibes diffuse. The most tension between SUPs and proners I've seen lately were between girls in the lineup...catty. Man I swear those girls are meaner than the guys.

From your pic and your boards it looks like you are a good sup surfer. 

My advice is start out going to Latigo Point, where SUP is most accepted, or County Line, where it is partially accepted.  I've gotten yelled at by grumpy crusty longboarders at County despite having surfed there for over 20 years.  But there are peaks everywhere and a competent rider like yourself can get lots of waves.

I wouldn't go out at Surfrider on a SUP unless it's a big day.  Then you might have Laird to keep you company.
Topanga is usually not worth the trouble in my opinion.  Sunset Point is greenlight for supping but usually only fun at the top of the point and on bigger swells.

the only place where I got all 4 of my tires ice picked.... on a day when there were very few out and surf was smaller than 1 foot.  long before sup was around.
