How to search the "Zone"

How many of you wanted to reference an old post on the zone only to find out that little search box at the
top right of the page is not that useful most of the times. So instead of searching endlessly through old posts
or just give it up all together, here is a little trick:

go to Google search and put this:

site:www.standupzone.com {your search term}
so for instance I was looking an old paddle review I made, zero hits on the zone search, but on google it was the top hit

site:www.standupzone.com Aztek

If you want to get more specific you can use "parenthesis" to make sure the search contain this word and add a "+"
sign between  search words like so:

site:www.standupzone.com "mana"+"paddle"

just to make sure you won't get the Naish Mana board dominating your search.

Good tip. There is also a more advanced search available here beyond the box in the upper right that does some of what you're doing and lets you search by board (general discussion, gear talk, etc) and user.

Good tip. I've never been able to find anything using the search function on any SMF forum. It's probably why they call it search instead of find.
