Google Movie - Cottonwood Creek, Alaska
« on: July 22, 2017, 02:36:04 PM »
Tried out my Christmas gift of a GoPro hat  -  I think I aimed down too much, needs another sunny day with more footage "facing out" edited into the mix - but in the meantime, Google put this together for me - ain't perfect but it's done...

Cottonwood Creek, I went to the outlet, then up to the inlet creek and Google figures I will never get around to editing it so it did it for me...

Cool. Nice job. Yes it would be nice to see the surroundings of that beautiful water.

Thanks :D I got up at 6 and made it out again this morning. GoPro decided not to work :( but my cell phone and my Sony RX100 worked (both have waterproof cases). I show a LOT of this little network of lakes and streams 'cause it's close - and it's pretty.

I have a bunch of pics from a 6 hour paddle on Jim Creek a month ago that haven't become "a story" yet to post up too. 5 moose (7 if you count the calves) were in the water with me on that one.

Pic is from the morning about 6:45 am (link cause it's not on photobucket but Google - and a big pano)

I bet there are some chunky Rainbows in that creek.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Lots! This is the same creek I've posted with the red salmon too. The connected lakes provide the boat fishermen frequent 15"-ish trout and I've seen lots of 12" trout in the creeks. I see LOTS more aquatic life from the SUP perspective - not very often when I'm kayaking - part of what I like about paddle  boarding.

Thanks SuptheCreek - as I've said before, your videos and pics are my inspiration.

TallDude the fresh salmon as BBQ are awesome here :D I can't fish for the Reds in this creek but salmon fishing and harvesting isn't far.

I've made another video, this time actually tried to edit on my phone a bit, it's pretty long at 5 minutes - I'm working on my skills :D
