What a terrible websuit, although it does look nice to the eye.
Does anyone have a succinct explanation of the difference between the three Matuse wetsuit models?

Be careful with Matuse sizing - they run reaaaallly small.

Good suits (low evaporative cooling).
Descriptions could be better.

High normal prices.  If still interested,
get on their mailing list - a few times per year they put stuff on sale
at about 50% off.

But, I think you have to pay return shipping when they are too small.

thanks!
I also have a note out to the isurus guys to see if they can install extra elbow and knee reinforcements to whatever suit fits me best
That's the main thing I'm trying to get right this time because I always seem to wear out the knees and elbows first

Man, I have an xcel with the knee pads and if you could wear through that I'd eat my suit. (Ok, maybe not) but they are burly. I would like less evaporation though, wind kills me.

But I will say that some 1mil neoprene and aquaseal and you can probably arrest the wear. I do find that the fancier the wetsuit it feels like the less durable they are.  (Anyone else see this?)

No idea what the other models are JD, but I have a Hoplite, 2mm full.  It's a very nice suit, but I cannot compare it to others because I do not change suits that frequently or bother to remember the others.  I can compare scuff pads: the Matuse's are quite thin and superficially weak compared to ones on a 4/3 Patagonia I have.  The Pat's seem really tough  ...but I don't use a suit often enough to wear them out.

Like Subber mentioned, I took the discount deal.  I'm 5-10 x 180-5lbs.  The XLS fits me fine. (but I never tried a Lg. The Patagonia is also an XLS.)

guys,

IMHO

you can't beat either the SUPreme suits or for taped and glued seams the Hyperflex. They have great features that work (I paddle on my knees a lot and the knee pads are  TOUGH! Last but not least they are very reasonably priced
In the past 24 years, we have sold just about every wetsuit and they are all pretty good but when you look at the BIG picture you can't beat SUPreme and Hyperflex

Let me know if you  need help
