Very cool, Clay. Maybe try it with a land paddle--just a stick with a crutch tip works fine. I've got a big Kahuna board that I'm going to try something similar with. I have to suit up like a medieval knight to ride the thing. My geezer balance and sketchy knee don't make for elegant recoveries. But I need to push it to ever get on foils.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Thanks Bill.  Good idea.  I agree completely - pads and protective gear are the wise way to learn something like foiling.
