Rhone river just out of Geneva, on it's way to Marseilles. It's a nature reserve where lots of migrating birds stop at. Migrating birds of course following major rivers. It goes through some gorges which made for natural borders. The Romans (Julius Cesare) held the Helvetii back at those gorges. The fortress shown here built by a duke of Savoy. Now a museum. We used to throw parties in it before it was converted to a museum.

One can SUP it all the way down to Marseilles. Friends have done that.

Nice photos...gorgeous scenery...

Here's a few of our friend, Woody, at Jalama on his custom flame board...when he's not keeping us safe at the command post managing fires for Santa Barbara County...he's usually out ripping at the "J"...

Ironic, huh?...;-)

He's also a Hawaiian living in California...you can take the man out of Hawaii...but, you can't take the Hawaii out of the man...;-)

Woody is one stoked guy...a few shots of him shredding on my 8'4" WD design at Jalama...

Those flames are really cool!

I was going to commission a new board with custom graphics reflecting my occupation (bean counter), but when the shaper came back with what looked like a #2 pencil I respectfully declined.

SUPer cool...here's a couple of SUP board porn photos of other flame variants that we've done...;-)

Hard to make a #2 pencil sexy...;-)
Good job keeping your humor intact...especially,  this time of year...most bean counters that I know have been pretty stressed lately...;-)

All of those SUP photos that I posted "ruined" and "hijacked" this thread...how's that?!?!
The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned...this one is just getting started...let's see yours!

Every image that's been posted on here has value and beauty in one way or another...and, I would rather see SUP pics than inane political pablum...etc...;-)

Sorry that you can't enjoy the images that I posted because of my logos...but, just like Eddie...I have 1000's of SUP surfing pics...heck, tens of thousands...most of them with my branding because I only ride my own board designs and have for years...besides, didn't seem like this was an "unbranded" photo thread...or, is that a "new rule"?...;-)

The original SUP photo thread that features beautiful flatwater paddling has 23 pages and has been going since 10/2012...my pics in that thread are a small drop in the bucket...and, I have just as many flatwater paddling pics as I do SUP surfing pics...so, I guess water has a way of seeking it's own level...

Hey Wardog if you really read the thread you'd have seen 2 pics I posted of SUP pics which where more scenic and not of, hey look at my boards, and I'm not knocking the ones (or 40 or so) of the same basic pic of someone on the same shot a wave, my bitch is with you posting pics in a lame ass marking attempt. Big difference of great SUP photos and of take a look here's 30 pics of my boards w different paint jobs (all for sale in case you wanted to buy one).

Just so you know lots of zoners feel the same way I do bud, just saying sometimes maybe just one pic here and there, there's something called overdoing it to a point it drives people away.

I've got better things to do with my time than argue with you...but, there is something in photography called a "sequence"...and, that was what I was trying to highlight...every frame is actually different to an unbiased eye...but, I guess if you've seen one WD SUP image...you've seen them all...;-)

Seems that you are trying to play judge, jury, and forum content censor policeman...plus, PIO...where does it say in the small print that just scenic shots of New England are allowed here?...;-)

FYI...I've known Eddie from back in the windsurf days...even my wifey and him are friends on Facebook...he even paddles one of my One World SUP models...whatevers...time to move on...

Here's one that I took down near my property in Mexico that was in Outside Mag...and, another from same day used by an online e-zine...not a wave in sight...but, there are plenty nearby...;-)

Look ma...no logos!...;-)

peace out...
