Blown up photo of a video still, taken from the tiny GoPro screen.
Video is awesome, but this is all I have till I get to my desktop to download the movie.

Tons of huge sea turtles in South Myrtle Beach.
I was shadowing his buddy, when this one surfaced under the rail of my board.
Bump, bump, bump along the rail.... so cool! ;D

There is something about photos of Beasho's surfing at Mavericks. Those massive waves, that set jaw, those abused boards. No-one else in sight. Awesome. Super-heroic. Norse god-like. I'm not kidding. There is more soul in a grainy, ill-composed photo of him than I have seen in any other surf photo. Stoneaxe agrees:

Yup......I think I have most of the pictures Beasho has posted in my screensaver folder. And he's in good company...most of the rest of the action shots are Kai or Laird..... :)

Nowhere near as intense...just classic California...glassy, clean, head high and only myself and a friend who captured this 15 shot sequence with my waterproof camera...

Gracias frijole...one of the funnest moves in surfing...
I used to get some kinda rad layback cutbacks on my prone surfboards back in the day...still sorta pull a few on my standups and wave riding sailboards...just not quite so rad...;-)
