First Gofoil Downwind Attempt - Video

I say attempt because any lift I might have achieved was hard to see in the video.  Fun and challenging.

Since I can't afford a foil board right now, I have to live vicariously though you and your videos. I really want to try it. In five years we'll be seeing foils everywhere. You are taking part in the dawn of the sport.

I couldn't tell from watching the video if you got any lift at all. But I'm glad you made the video. BTW, thanks for sharing the video.

Stay on it man. One question, do you think you can just paddle the board for now without focusing on the foil so much? I ask because I know that would be hard for me but if I could I think over time, I'd hit a few by accident and still get a good session while I got my paddling fitness up.

Or when you do fly do you really need to be in the sideways stance already? I'm curious if there's noticeable drag under the board or if you can forget it's there.

I watched (and filmed a friends 1st attempts at SUP surf foiling.... tough stuff.

Your board, being so big, seems like it will add to the degree of difficulty..... keep paddleing and filming.
You only get one chance to be e newbie, so documenting it is cool!
