Just a blanket thanks for all the amazing friends who showed up twice for my birthday. Meant a lot to me although I didnt know it at the time. You guys are the best....

I had a little too much fun and I sure am paying for it today .  Congrats again on your first race medal, I have a feeling it won't be your last.  As we say around here, all medal is good medal.

I had no idea it was your birthday--you might have said something! Of course I don't tell anyone when it's mine, I just go off into a cave and sulk.  Congrats on the medal too. That seemed like a long paddle for five miles.

I was bound and determined not to run off and hide as I am prone to do... never been real comfortable with lots of attention.. I had NO idea that there was a party brewing. I figured I would spend the day in the water meeting new people and trying something new... First race...and it was soooo much fun. The paddle was hot but the experience was awesome.

Thought it was kinda funny one of the divisions was 40 to 49... I figured that it was literally my last day to qualify for that division. Of course they put all of us women in one group which was better since there were only 6 of use. Would rather come in 3rd in a bigger qroup than 1st in a solo class...  I really enjoyed the day, Mark J and Mark R, the Stouts, PBill, Jack D (thanks for carrying my board.. it gets heavy when Im tired) pretty Becca and so many other happy fun folks... Then top it off with an amazing surprise party... What more could a girl ask for...   Do ya think I look happy?
