Well, it's easy to paddle a long distance. It's paddling quickly for any distance that's the hard bit ;)

The mistake is assuming that all you need to do for a long event is to assume you paddle long and slow. Short sessions can help improve long distance performance.

stroke rate of about 40 per minute all day long - easy, as long as you do it softly, light as a feather, loose grip, loose core.

Done it loads over the years - usually solo with no support. Im gonna be carrying my own gear on the GGPaddle too.

Yeah - any water time. Not once or twice a week as most uk 'Pros' do but once or twice per day. In the pool, oc2, DW, thames cruising.. Doesn't really matter what as long as its on the water.

I can improve my sailing ability by doing an hour butterfly swimming. And so the chain continues. I don't really se any difference between say - a day of SUP surf and a day of White water river running. They are all One - Mana

Easy if you have your own indoor pool in your house....

Honestly - hard training is wrong, plain and simple.

Push hard on the water and it pushes right back as hard if not harder. Thats why we have displacement hulls that separate the water softly at the bow, any turbulence is gonna slow you down.
