if someone did want to put it in a board it would be crazy expensive and even the snobbiest of paddlers wouldnt want this to be a normal thing

I surf with a 67 year old who bought himself a jet powered longboard for his 65th BD. It seems to work well for him. He uses it mostly for the paddle out or fighting the drift.

At 60 I hope to use my own power as long as I can but by the time I reach that age the battery and motor torque will be greatly improved. A blue tooth type control on the paddle would finish it off.
