Wetsuit Booties
« on: January 04, 2017, 04:36:26 AM »
For cold water which is the preferred wetsuit bootie, split toe or round toe and why ?
Water temp in our area ranges from 50 to 60 deg F.

I have never been a fan of booties, this year seems the feet are getting cold prone surfing and Sup surfing.  I guess age is starting to take affect at 64.   Up till now I have never adjusted to booties and the feel of the board.   Currently using 3mil round toe boots with wool socks under them.   Very warm with socks make the boot snug with no foot slipping around inside.   To be honest I have never used booties long enough to get used the different feel of the boards.   Any and all opinions are welcome on what works best, its time to warm up !

Thanks

There was just a really long thread on this here. A quick search would turn up tons of info.
