Sort of ironic that it happened at a place called Privates.

I am not sure as to the origins of the name, but I always assumed it was because of the naked beach there.

However, I think the name backfired when the Coastal Commission came around recently to try to tear down the gate, because the name implied that it was a private gate in a private neighborhood.

I was getting ready to go out at Privates and putting on my helmet and a bunch of young men drove by in a station wagon flipping the bird and yelling "You look like a penis with a hat on!" 

I waved and nodded in agreement. I haven't been roundly mocked and catcalled since my inflatable, it was kind of refreshing.
