What I consider my local, Plymouth Beach,  rarely breaks. So wherever the waves are breaking within a 50 mile radius of my house.

My home break is the beach break at Prospect St and the Jetty break at 56th St.  Both across from my house in Newport, but I often go to a lesser-known, more fickle break a couple miles away to avoid the crowd.  Poorer waves but less people.

I consider lower Kanaha to be my home break, though I'm fond of most of the north shore of Maui.

My home break is on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan - the middle section, a section of shoreline that has been called the Golden Crescent capped to the north by Little Sable Pt and Big Sable Pt.  A great spot for all kinds of paddling with lots of access, good downwind options and decent surf when solid north or south winds blow.

Right now for surfing, my home break is the 43rd Street Jetty on Galveston island, Texas. But next year I want my first surfing trip of 2017 to be atSurfside, Texas since the waves are larger in height than at Galveston.

Sunset cliffs, about 3 miles from my house
Here's one of our typical great winter days. Doesn't do this every day, but we get this several times a year.

San O in the winter, Doheny in the summer (to avoid the line). Santa Barbara when it's breaking and my kid has some free time to spend with dad.
