It's not just the oil misting that sucks with that type pump, but steam from the exhaust takes oil with it. Running the pump out of oil, if you pull vacuum too long.

Joe woodworkers new quiet pump is fantastic. Bill you need this pump. Awesome pump.

been super busy and having fun - oc1 damaged from a cable line inside the harbor. guy is training for the Molokai to Oahu and needed it back asap - 2 days full vacuum bagged carbon, custom color matched Metallic finish. flawless! dropped it off Monday night and was finished Wednesday night.  this pic is before polish ;) i love what i do and put every bit of energey and effort in every repair.
