Door County, NE Wisconsin, is a major tourist destiation, with more and more people bringing SUP's. I'm a native and have been on the water my whole life sailing and as a kayak tour guide. I know the area fairly well, and there is a lot of good paddling being the county with the most miles of coast anywhere in the US at somewhere around 300 miles. From estuaries to rivers to small inland lakes to the Bay of Green Bay Lake Michigan, there is something for everyone and almost always somwhere protected to paddle and aslo somewhere with some waves, although not as good as the West coast of Lake Michigan for surfing.

There are a bunch of offshore islands that make good day paddles for the more experienced. Also, there is a chain of islands, starting with Washington Island and Rock Island, that can be paddled to Michigan. I'm hoping to paddle this later this summer.

If anybody has questions or would like to paddle, let me know.
