Waterproofing Custom Paint
« on: June 01, 2016, 07:48:46 AM »
I'm doing a small repair on my green NSP board. Basically I dropped it, and the green paint cracked. I've got to fill in the area with the chip, and then paint it. NSP gave me the Pantone number for the paint color, but the paints aren't waterproof. My guess is that I'll need to put some sort of waterproof coating over the paint. If so, what coating do you guys recommend?

And if I'm missing something in the process, please let me know. The damage is just to the surface, but I like the green color a lot. I want to make my baby perfect again!

There is a company online that will pantone match and produce a custom rattle can for you. Google pantone custom rattle can. It will be very close but you may not get an exact match due to sun bleaching of the original paint. Has the board been bagged or out of the sun most of the time?
