How much weight should a deck pad and fins add to a board?  Is 3lbs about right?  Thanks.

Zoo, if your board is 3 lbs overweight and only 1/2 of that is attributable to pad and fins that's a very minor difference.  I would go with the plan that you outlined in the other thread; shore-up the handle and see whether or not the weight increases.

Thanks, Bean.  That confirmation helps and that's what I think I'll do.

It's a fairly dinged up, poorly repaired board, but I love the shape and I got it for a good price.  In fact, it's my favorite 8'5 ever.  Hopefully, I can get it up to snuff.
