My god what a beautiful board that is. I need to stop by and say Hi to Sean, he's such a great guy and so fun to talk story with. Magical surfer too. A lot of the guns that paddle prone into Peahi are SOS.

It sure is...
Sean definitely has the big wave gun thing down...quite a few chargers on SOS...
IMO, Sean is arguably the best waterman/shaper combo out there...multi-discipline...and, he is accomplished at all of them...windsurf...surf (short or long)...SUP...kite...tow...whatevers...

That 13'er was a fun build...but, retired...at least until I get an opportunity to get a wide open uncrowded look at a 30' wave with a channel...;-)
My 11'1" or 11'11" One World easily gets me where I need to go in the bigger stuff these days...more than enough glide for the girls that I dance with...;-)

I even have a scaled down 10' Mahalo that I'm fond of...IMO, too much lumber underneath you is a liability...no matter the kind of leash you prefer...;-)
I've even successfully surfed my 7'10" Jammer at DOH a number of times in big beach break...it's pretty sweet to deal with a smaller board in those conditions...
Mahalos...{:~)

I know people that have those later year Brewer balsa collectables...wall hangers that haven't been properly surfed...;-)..

Sadly mine is a pure wall hanger, never been wet. With my toasted knee by the time I wobbled to my feet in a properly consequential wave the ride would be long over. So there it sits. Maybe after I finally get the knees replaced, but until then, I'd rather look at that than any painting.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Wade rules, and partially because he ignores the rules.

Also, he's a fellow Arkie. Grew up in the hills and only started surfing as an adult. Great story, thanks for bringing it to the forum.
