You guys are nutz. They'll sell a zillion of them. I don't know why they made it so heavy, or why the handlebars look so dorky, but those things are going to be as common as bellybuttons. And if you're not one hell of a paddler, they'll dust you. There used to be a video of a plastic Hobie sit on top kayak with a mirage drive pedalled by Mr. Ordinary doing a tug of war with an olympic level kayak paddler. The mirage easily towed him backwards across the pool. Hemi vs. Yugo.

Take that basic setup and ditch the handlebars in favor of elliptical machine-style handles and I think it would fly.

I know it will fly. I loved that mirage drive since I 1st saw it on your adventure isle. The dork factor throws me though....I already look dorky enough.

Unquestionably dorky. It will go well with the outfits I've been wearing lately. I'm held together by compression.

Bill, you are clearly not in a witness protection program.  ;D

Just chop it a little. Add some crucifix handle bars, a black leather jacket, and leather saddlebags. The new weekend badass water biker.
It's not overhead to me!

I saw the photos. A witness protection program is probably overkill, but they should at least warn the witnesses before they look.

SUP has a coolness factor.  "I just bought a Costco SUP and paddled on a lake.  I'm cool."
The Hobie is more: 'Hi neighbor.  I'm mowing my lawn in black dress socks!'.
