STC,

I agree with JimK's 2 points: the POV gave a vicarious feeling that was amped by the "play by play" description. Together they gave the video a cool instructional sense. I'd love to see more.

Jorge

Ps. Are all Sunova decks domed?

SUP Jorge,

Not all Sunova's have domed deck and all designs can be modified to your preference.
The Newest shape I know of has a CONVEX deck

Thanks Jorge  :)

I like the head cam view when it works out.
Not really knowing where its aimed exactly makes it hit or miss.

Most of the Sunovas surf  SUPs have domed decks... as Jim said, there may be some with flatter or convex.
Domed is the the way Bert keeps some volume, while having a foiled performance rail.

We are not going to get to Miami, but we will be in Jupiter Friday March 25th.

I hope we can hook up at some point!

Thanks JimK.... at least now, I can say I wasn't talking to myself  ;)

I wanted to add a note about the 9'5" Surf. Today when we got to our regular windsurf beach at Kanaha on Maui, the wind was unusually light at first at about 10 to 16 mph. Frustrating for most people since there was not enough wind for regular windsurf gear to get out to the tiny NE swell that everyone wanted to go out and wavesail. I grabbed a Sunova Surf 9'5" that my friend was renting, threw my 5.3 sail on it, and headed out not expecting to plane, but just hoping to limp out to the waves. It sailed great. The big surprise was when a few puffs of wind came through, and the Surf jumped up on a plane. I have sailed about 10 different SUPs, and most to not want to plane with a sail on them. They will sail fine in light winds, but planing in not something you plan on since most of these boards really fight planing due to the rocker. I caught a couple of little waves, and the board wavesailed great with nice flowing longboard style turns. As the wind picked up to about 16 -18, the board was a hoot to plane around on; not as good as a dedicated light wind windsurf board with a huge fin and footstraps, but by far the most fun that I have had sailing a SUP.
I am attempting to attach a photo of windsupping the Surf.
