I Paddle Plastic
« on: February 21, 2016, 03:40:08 PM »
I've joked about paddling Big Red, my plastic board for a while. I wrote an article for SUPExaminer about paddling it. It's lighthearted, but maybe I do make a point in the end?

I've got one, I think. Last time I saw it it was on the rack behind my garage in Hood River, along with an old windsurf board and Diane's kayak. I use it for whitewater--same reason. Indestructible. I generally push it off the top of my truck and let it bounce, then drag it to the water over the rocks.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Oh, so you treat it just like your nice, hollow SIC Bullet! And you wonder why you make me nervous around boards.... ;D ;D

Funny thing — I was messaged by an Airheadsup rep soon after the piece went public. He was wondering if I wanted to buy an inflatable.
