How should i sell my wetsuits?
« on: January 20, 2016, 01:36:50 PM »
I'm way out of the loop and I have a couple of wet-suits that i don't need, 2 of them that I have never worn. I live in Atlanta not a market SUPreme wetsuits locally. I'm not sure if i can list the here in the Classifieds as it seems very different than it use to be. Any suggestions?  Thanks

Be sure they've been pee'd in recently (mandatory, really. goes w/o saying... )
Then list as "never been pee'd in"!

Fishy.... I have never had 1 call when advertising a wetsuit I never wore... ok, I pulled it up to my chest, but it wouldn't go over my shoulders.
$450 top brand.... offered at $100 for months

Just give it away to someone who needs it  :)

One suit, I cut the arms into short sections and use them for casual knee braces.
They work great, but for heavy activity, I switch to my store bought brace.

One still has tags on it but i guess i could still pee in it.
Sad thing i don't even have someone to give them too. Actually DW is tall and skinny maybe next time i go to Cocoa Beach.

I guess i could put them on Ebay and see what happens.

If it is brand new and unused, go ahead and pee all over it anyway because anybody you sell it too will assume it and price accordingly.

Brand new suit(s) w/tags? Craig's List and Ebay em and tell it like it is..never peed in. I sell/have sold a bunch of stuff on both and NEVER lied about an item, truth in advertising, just like I never falsify a surf report for my mainland buddies. I sold my old PsycoII 6/5/4 hooded suit that was five seasons old a coupla yrs ago on Craig's for $50, dude was a stoked newbie. Also my first Psycho winter suit sold...and that one shipped to Oregon from here in New Jers!
A used suit? DEFINITELY been peed in! Anyone tries to unload one saying otherwise...hook em to the poly!  :P
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

I would put ads in Craigslist first because it's free. If you don't get any bites then list it on eBay. Put the particulars about it in the eBay search box and click the "Advanced" button. Then click the "Completed Listings" button so you can see what similar wetsuits have sold for. Do a 7 day long listing for US only and be sure to start it at around 10:00 PM eastern on a Sunday. Make sure when it ends 7 days later on Sunday that it's not a holiday.

Don't sell them. Give them to a surf shop / surf school. Bless others.....
