Yes it may be posable would probably require using a different router bit but like I say I have never realy had a problem with 4. I did use that way on one of my first board and it does work but it is avoidable

is the cork for looks or strength? it seems it would make it heavier than just using glass.

for strength it gives you a sandwich construction. You can use a lot less glass but get a lot higher skin strength like you would with a pvc rap.

This board makes me want to attempt a cork sandwich.

Any details of the layup process you'd be willing to share would be much appreciated.

Specifically:
Did you vac at every step, even the initial 4oz?
How did you glue down the cork... Thin coat of epoxy or can it just be placed with spray adhesive?
Do you seal the cork before putting down the top coat of glass?

Any other tricks I would never think of?

Thanks for the inspiration!

The first layer of glass and cork go down together and bagged then the second layer of glass gets baged after. The first layer and cork are just taped in place. The board goes into the bag 4 times
