Dominical/Uvita - SUP Rental?
« on: October 18, 2015, 05:42:43 PM »
May have a place to stay, truck, etc. down in Dominical, CR. Problem is it takes two flights to get there (which would cost a small fortune to get a board down there and back for a week).

Anyone know of any decent rentals for surf down in that area? Uvita, etc.?

I searched on here and online and last one I saw was from 2012 from a SUP/kite company down in Dominical.

I'll expand this one to rent or buy. I'll go back a few times, so I'd be open to buying a board if anyone has one in the Uvita/Dominical area?

Another idea would be checking in with Alvaro with http://vistaguapa.com/ as they put on yolo sup camps.  He has a nice bunch of boards and its on the way down south if you drive along the coast and going thru Jaco.

San Jose then jumping over to Quepos. Another option is that I will probably have a free place to stay down there for awhile, so I may be interested in buying a board, or leaving one down there.

Reviving this thread as I'll probably head down there this fall. Looking for a board to buy to leave down there, something I can surf in the 8'5 - 9'0 range, 120 to 150L or so. Could go smaller if available.

Reviving it one more time - ha, free place to stay and pretty cheap flights right now, I just can't take the hit on $300 board fee each way and having to rent a car to get it there, etc.

I'd love to just be able to fly into San Jose, take the commuter plane over to Quepos and get going. So if anyone know of anyone in that area, etc. let me know.

I'm not sure if that helps, but last year when in Pavones, I met 2 guys their rent/buy their boards in Jaco. Didn't ask them where but I'm sure if it's there you'll find it
in progress...
