Not sure if this has made it's way around the zone yet, but look's interesting.

Interesting yes.  I'm sure if you take this out to a crowded lineup of mostly pruners there you would have no problems at all.

Regular surf spot lineup... I'd totally yell at the top of my lungs: "LOOK OUT, CAN'T TURN!!!" right before carving big stylee bottom-turn, to figure 8 cutback-whitewater bash. Done that on regular surfboard cause people kept getting caught inside messing up the set-waves. With regular board you can windmill arms, bien loco. Without turning, looks hella funny. My boys on the cliff were in tears, soon after they all started doing same...

P.S. I'd love to try any version of these, tow, paddle, whatever...

I don't know much about foils and how dialed in to rider weight they need to be, but if they make a set-up that can handle a 225 lbs guy, I'm sold.

Wow.
Amazing what small waves you can "ride".
Perfect for us fresh water surfers!

It's simple, either you get the wave or the wave gets you.

Make sure you get the one with lights...

But, Not sure these have a place on Cape Cod...Can't imagine the scene after one goes all Ginzu-knife on a seal

Too many for the rack
Some in the shack
Some under decks
Some have straps

This actually might be great fun for the Gorge.  I can picture swell surfing this with an undersized sail on a good swell day and being able to stick with a swell for hundreds of yards....and paddling it into some as well.

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

Ok, someone has to build one of these.

TallDude, I nominate you to model it in 3D. I think we could make one out of carbon over foam and attach it to the bottom of a board with 4 fcs or ProBox boxes so you could ride it either way. A cheap way to test prototypes is the main issue is see as getting it "right" could be a nightmare.

Wood to start?

It's got me thinking though. What about like 1 foot tall little loop wings, like on ferries, that would attach to quad boxes? You could do a single wing up front and have a tri foil but for testing you could just do the rear to see if it lifted with no real  board mods.
