What have you been doing lately?
« on: September 08, 2015, 05:46:47 PM »
Mr. Peyote at Portland International raceway. It's still not running right, I'm two seconds off my usual time, but most of the misss is gone. Still, I'm gonna rip that motor out and go though it completely--something evil in those innards. In the meantime I'll build out my spare and get it in for the Fall finale in Seattle:

Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Surfing. Lots of swells to go along with our blazing heat and humidity. The waves are a blessing. It has been a good run, wish it could continue.

Contemplating knee surgery, it's my call, but the wind isn't quite done blowing yet.  >:(
SUPing has been out of the question for about 6 months now, that is way worse for me.

It takes a quiver to do that.

Make sure your surgeon is the best of the best.

Playing hockey 3 nights a week. Starting a greeting card business. Running a non profit. Inquiring about adoption process. Bought my first guitar. Planning vacations. Bought my first classic truck. Gearing up for surf - have not been in 11 months. Watching Ray Donovan, True Detective and Narcos.

Watching my dog eating corn on the cob.

Is that as much fun as watching them eat peanut butter off the roof of their mouth?

Mortising Rocky Mountain cassette locks and 5x5 hinges into 8' x 2-1/4" Koa doors.

Don't  tell the owners I'd pay them to do this stuff.  It's my all time favorite task in carpentry -  big doors.

The hardware is custom, so I made plexiglass templates for each component.

It's all going like clockwork.  Koa is sooooo good looking.

They bought a whole tree for this house.  $300k for the slabs.   :o

Looks a lot like my version of barbecued oysters. I do spinach under the oysters and modified hollandaise on top (add peppers and grated gruyere cheese to regular home-made hollandaise). My other way is just garlic butter. Head for the coast for a few days, definitely going to do some of that.
