Any experience with the Lily drone?
« on: August 17, 2015, 09:03:07 AM »
Someone just told me they are available.  This person is a non-SUPer but is telling me that I absolutely need one of these things.  Anybody had any experience with them yet?

Only thing I've heard is to be wary of the 20min max battery life.

It's a lovely design, and I like the simplicity, though I'd probably hack the crap out of one if I had it. But "available" is not exactly accurate. You can pay for one one, and the price is certainly right, but delivery will be mid 2016 (they say May). I've learned that there are inevitable delays with prefunded projects (like kickstarter and others) and you're probably looking more realistically at late 2016.

lily is not available yet... early 2016. I'm pre ordered mine. 20 minute battery really isn't bad at all. it doesn't have all the goodies that some of the other follow drones have, but it's nearly half the cost right now. if you preordered a few months ago they were going for $499  ;) cant complain for the price
