First outings on my new 2014 Naish Glide 14 x 29
« on: August 10, 2015, 03:47:28 PM »
Here are a few pics from a couple outings over the weekend on the Glide 14 x 29. Board did well in all conditions and it's definitely at it's best in rough conditions, which we got on Sunday in swell and slop up to 5 feet on Kootenay lake during a 5km lake crossing.

Great board and great surroundings to paddle in!

I think this board would be considered the V3, so to speak?  What a classic!  I have the 1st version but would love a V2!

Hey DJ,

How did you like the stock fin on the Glide? I lost the screw for the stock fin when I took the board out of the packaging and the screw from my Gladiator is too short.

@XLR8. I believe the 2014 is the V3 and I don't think it changed much for 2015 other than color schemes. Same shape. DJ can clarify. It's a very stable board in rough water. I think the Gladiator fin's huge surface area adds even more to the stability. I still need to check the stock fin, but I want to try the smallest version of the Gladiator, or even a basic dolphin fin to get a looser feel on the board.

Yeah the V3 looks awesome.

I am seeing the V2 on the used market for around 1k. Not sure if the V3 is worth holding out for.

You can get the 2014 Glide GS 14 x 29.25 brand new right now between 1295.00 and 1189.00. Pretty good deals, so support a shop :) Check out Gorge Performance and California Kite boarding. 101 surf sports has or had, a 2014 glide 14 x 27" for 899.00 in new condition. It has the 2014 colours and 14 X 29 dimensions written on it, but it's the V2 with more rocker and 27" width.

It is worth waiting to get a V3 IMO.. [depending on how heavy you are].. and yes the new 14x29 Glide is the same shape.

I have a mint 2013 Glide Carbon GX 14 x 27.25" for trade, if anyone is interested in slimming down from a Glide 14 x 29" model...PM me if interested.
