Sharing the Stoke...

This morning, early glass, waist to shoulder high, about 5 surfers, 2 paddlers out, high tide Launiopokos main peak....  Sat on the inside catching sooooo many beautiful little empty waves. Wave after wave....  Young surfer girl paddled by and asked "Is that hard to do? How long have you been doing it?"  After about 20 minutes, I paddled up and asked if she wanted to have a go... She was a pretty good longboarder so I had no worries about her ablility.  She said, nahhh but thanks.. About 10 minutes later she asked if the offer was still good...  : )   Now, I was on my 9'6" and she had never SUP'd before... After couple basic instructions (logo is front of paddle) she was off. Sheeeesssh... 5 minutes later after paddling around outside, she caught a wave... I was on her longboard and the stoke was all around. Everyone was yelling encouragement and smiles all over. We traded for almost an hour. I think I had as much fun as she did being back on back on a longboard... Been almost a year and I was surprised at how strong I felt.   

Waves should be here still tomorrow...   Yipeeeeee
