Attention all casual readers of this thread.  I have just learned the correct pronunciation of this technology is 3d "Cross Point"  not eX-point.  Now go hither this weeks-end and attend cocktail parties et all secure in this knowledge.

Getting weird fast....I'm starting to think Hawkins, Musk and others might be correct. We need to be REAL careful where this all ends up. So many parallel paths heading to AI that will be able to out do our limited biology. What DOES happen when/if it wakes up?
AI.???. We are already there. Our thoughts are being programmed /influenced by the networks and the internet. Even what we eat, drink and breath is programming our health. We are AI.
It's not overhead to me!

Well, the possibilities sure seem a lot closer when transistors have gone away from memory.  Non powered data retention and instant wake up of all systems, programs and data?  I personally cannot claim even close to that before coffee.  The Moore's guys were wondering what happens after 7 nm in 2020 but...

There's some math methods that probably enable less than 5 nm.

The danger I see from AI is that it will reflect and grossly enhance both the best and worst in man.....its the grossly enhanced worst I fear.
