MY OWN PADDLE

Hi there ...gran aloha y pura vida  from the canary islands . spain.

  gettin ready for the swell season. (finally the wind is kind of stopping here...)   I decided to build my own paddle.  not really satified of what I got. A surftech carbon paddle ....

First got the alder wood stick 7 feet long.   a friend of mine is a guitar master builder from Granada and got  me a nice solid cedar top out of a guitar. 

Got some fiber and lots of epoxy …
Need some feedback about to  reinforce and insert the shaft to the stick.  Cus I am pretty sure that you guys have more experience.

Combined with the 7' alder it looks like you have enough cedar there to make a nice blade. Take a look at what I did here. Not sure what you have available for tools and clamps but the epoxy laminations work well.
