So pissed....I was waiting to see how my head was feeling before registering. I felt good last night, forecast was for clear and sunny (storms screw with my head) so I registered and was psyched to come out and have a good day. Woke up at 6:00 with my head throbbing and spinning. Hope it went well.

Hi Bob... sorry you couldn't make it. We had a poduim spot reserved for you.  :) The race went well under perfect conditions good turn out. Chris B. was going for a 10 mile course record and missed it by 1 minute. His time for the 10 mile was 1hr 46 minutes.

Great time posted pics on Facebook.

We'll get you a Brownie back next year.

I saw the FB pics. Nice job as usual. Still angry I missed it. It's looking like I may miss Wall to the Woods next Saturday too. I have yet to make it in to work this week and I'm so far underwater I can't see the surface.

Missed you last weekend,  Stoney,  but it was a fun event.  Calm conditions,  sunny skies,  and some fast paddlers!

With 3-4 foot swells, muddled by 10 mph east wind forecast for this Saturday,  I'm doubtful that they'll be able to pull off Wall to Woods.  I've done part of that run in smaller conditions with a good tailwind,  and it was a balance and heading challenge like this year's CCBC,  except with the constant worry about being pushed into breaking waves against the rocky shoreline.

Yeah...I'm out for W to W too. Just too screwed up in the head at the moment to even consider it and my arms are bothering me again too. I did the 25 mile with Brownie from Boston to Manchester a few years ago and it was a struggle even then. It's a washing machine out there in any swell. All the rebound from the rocky coast makes it crazy.

Oops, I thought that was a group shot of all the racers when I jumped in it! I was in the minority of racers that didn't win a prize.  ;D
