Hey Stoneax, thanks for making my day with your stoke about the new "Winter" Standup Journal issue!

... and re: "this ones going to be hard to top"

Actually, we just sent the new ish ("Spring 2009") off to press last night and it IS better...

Really!

I can't believe I'm even saying that because this latest "White Album," winter ish is chalked full... I'll let you decide in March when the "Spring" ish hits...

...and to answer the Q. about when this new ish hits the stands, we are right on schedule (barring natural disasters) to be in:

- Borders,
-Barnes & Nobles and
-Books a Million stores next Tuesday, Dec. 23rd (though the distributor tells us Christmas time delivery schedules are not always exact)...

....and the US surf shops ("Santa Bob's" at Mission Surf, San Diego, included), get their deliveries by about Dec. 30th.

Meanwhile, snag a subscriber buddy's copy, turn up the tunes, crack open a cold one and DON'T forget: these babies must be viewed with a quality ready lamp to truly enjoy the 3D'ness of the images! ")

Hi Super Dave,
re: your issue's arrival in the mail, I have given up trying to predict the ways of the US Postal Service. I always have my address in the mailings to test delivery times... well, I go my test copy on Thurs., Dec. 18th... BUT our columnist, my bud Steve West in Santa Cruz, has YET to get his.

Of course Steve lives on Pleasure Point where EVERY mailman or woman is a surfer, so that could be the reason... "_

... and Warren, re: getting mags to your shop, I'm working on it; am pricing out Canadian UPS costs... we do go to most major bookstores and a lot of metro news stands in Canada already, but including shops is on the priority list.

Cheers, and here's to a kick ass 2009!
