Deck Pad vendors
« on: June 17, 2015, 06:05:27 AM »
I know things have been covered in different threads over time., but things have changed/shrunk in the marketplace.  I just got a new surf ride and want to tweak the pad with abit of a custom wrap.
Vendors like C4 don't seem to carry much...DaKine is down to one type pad. FCS one

Internet search basically comes down to only a few with some variety
Would appreciate any input....and maybe we could list here for the 2015 update

I know of:
NSI:  Good variety....but I have found some of their pads rashy-harsh at times Softer would be nice
Kings....good colors...don't know how sticky
On A Mission: Never seen up close

Too many for the rack
Some in the shack
Some under decks
Some have straps

It hanks for this thread. I'm looking too. I was thinking of just getting some hydro turf and cutting one.

Oo A Mission makes a nice variety of pads. Not sure how available they are in New England but out here in SoCal, they are pretty accessible. Lots of different color patterns but more importantly, lots of pad styles (raised diamonds, holes, larger flat diamonds, etc).

In New England not much to purchase unless going Online. I found Bullet Proof Surf and Punt Surf are good deck pads and not to expensive on Amazon. These options come in sections so it's easy to customize the placement and design based on what your doing. They are also on the softer side, so easy on the feet and knees.

I used Hydroturf to redeck my 10 footer about a year ago and I'm pretty happy with it.  Just the right amount of grip for me.

Hydroturf will have the most color options, not so much pricey as pad material just costs $. Good quality stuff. Check Ebay. There was a guy selling pads pretty cheap there for a while. I bought a number of them, and they were just fine.  Aliexpress sells pads if you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks. Good color selection and decent prices. Good luck!

I went with On A Mission " Slater Trout " on my Starboard Airborn. Great traction and soft on the feet.
