I remember when almost overnight no one wanted longboards during the shortboard revolution. There was this surf shop in La Jolla that sold all of their inventory of beautiful Gordon and Smiths for pennies on the dollar and went belly up. Many were shaped by Skip Frye too. As insanely cheap as everything was, I still couldn't afford anything because I was just a kid with a paper route, but how I drooled over the deals they were offering.

Fool that I am..... I bought one of those Iconic Black Cats for $60 during the shortboard revolution, because no one wanted longboards anymore.
