Thanks all! I've only had this new baby out once, in clean waist high waves....what a blast! A couple of quick strokes and boom, you're gliding. Man, it may be hard to go back to shorter.

I cracked up when I read you saying that you had to get your "sea legs back" because if I haven't been out for a week or so I need a good 30 minutes to get my sea legs back too. I hear ya about cruising on a nice long board. When I find a shorty I really like, I definitely want to get a thin responsive longboard SUP.

He should have seen me a few hours earlier--he wouldn't have been so impressed. I had to get my sea legs back.

I am still eagerly waiting for my JP Slate, but I did get the B-I-G  7'4" 115  liter variety.

Can't wait to do a side by side comparison with my 10' Crocodile in knee to waist summer waves!

Your board looks awesome! Also sounds like it is working for you - and that is ALL that matters..

Naish website is saying Raptor is perfect for small gutless waves. Thats me.
So I´m proceeding with my build.
Be interesting to hear your comparisons

BigGreen - What are the dimensions of that bad boy and how about a ride report?
