Snorkeling info?

Now I'm hooked on snorkeling after returned from the Florida Keys!

Needless to say everything in Michigan is ice. Getting ready for the spring by snorkeling in the fitness club's lap lane.

Any  worth while places to visit around the SE Michigan (or ?) region? One stop for sure is Alpena, has many near shore shipwrecks to paddle at.

Looking into river snorkeling also.

Enjoyed snorkeling myself recently while in the Bahamas, but being in Cape Cod and RI waters 99.9% of the time, there is NO WAY I want to toss on snorkel and see what might be swimming around under my board. Way to many big fish around here now for that !!

Up in Michigan you don't have to worry about seeing what may be stalking you !!
