« on: February 12, 2015, 07:32:12 PM »
Probably (definitely ) bigger south of Jax.... but whatever.  Jd and Tim, Don, Skip and a 2  guys on large inflatables.  This was a medium size one. Amazing local photographer, he rocks!

Nice one Dave! Glad you guys got it. You're right about down south though -- did you see the pics from Brevard?

I did see the Brevard pics Matt and it was LARGE! But I did  manage a 3 hr sesh locally and slip right back into work mode and hosted an event that evening.  Slept like a rock!

Mayport is only a 3 hour drive. Well within spontaneous road trip distance.  :)

Thanks Creek! About to head out for more on a chilly FL morning.  I guess I shouldn't complain about cold, what's your temp?

Nice photos.  We had good sets of OH+ down here in St. Johns first thing in the morning, but it was extremely packed despite being 45 degrees when I got in the water.

The wind picked up as the day went on making it harder to actually drop in.  Proners were even having issues by the afternoon.  I brought my GoPro out but didn't get any footage.  I was too damn cold ;D

Next Monday is supposed to be good again, but we'll see how long that holds out.

If you make it down to Vilano North/St. Augustine/Matanzas give me a shout.

Nice shots, DB. That was a killer swell. NJ was really good too. I hit it on sup for over two hours on 2/12. Unfortunately I totally failed w/my SOLOSHOT config and wasn't even in frame for the entire sesh except for this one moment when I was gathering my longboard after a bomb. I did score a nice sequence of that wave from a friend at least. Too bad, I had some INCREDIBLE waves on my 8'0" Assassin! Did manage to redeem my SOLOSHOT capabilities the next day in the leftovers.

One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"
