Actually what you're experiencing is more the board than your head. Not staying with the turn when you get back on that thing is what the bugger does. As soon as it clicks with you, you'll find you can do some outrageously quick turns for such a big-assed board. Like that instant 180 thing I was talking about. The trick is to start the turn, let it do it's thing and just hang on. Very odd, but very cool. I've had some people compliment me on my radical moves when I was just staggering around trying to stay with it.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

I always tell people to "throw their body" where they want to go and make the board keep up with you.

Lead the board, don't follow it. The right board will follow your body. Commit!

Coil, drive and release. Your body will direct the board through your feet, and your board will keep up.

follow this link to a thread about compression.... it has a lot of pointers for driving a turn.
I did a photo essay about compression on this page

I'm sure I'll get better with the board. It feels great given what I'm working with. Unfortunately my head doesn't always know where it is :Po so even the best advice doesn't always apply. Just need to keep getting working at it. Shit...I'm still shocked that I can even do this sometimes. As usual its time on water. Even more so in my circumstance.
