Discussion on why people tire easily...
« on: April 20, 2015, 09:44:34 AM »
I blame it on too many demands + a lack of talent/skills ÷ too few 'productive' hours.. but this is interesting..

Brilliant:  "non-optimized mitochondria; low VO2 max.; low Basal Metabolic Rate; High carb/fat burning ratio; high insulin resistance; and psychological issues like boredom and lack of control."

I've been talking to the cardiac care nurse that does the cardio-therapy, and most everything stated in the article is echoed in her advice.  A little more attention is paid to things that jack up your arteries...obviously but the basics are there.

Exercise
Eat Right
Rest
Find activities that lower your stress

Getting in shape is not a switch you flip, it's how you live every day.

just like a spookiny... steal my line, while I was taking a nap. >:(

Interesting article... I need some more mitochondria.... it's not fair that the skinny kids have more of them....
it's us porkers that need them the most. UNFAIR.
I think the people with more mitochondria need to stop being so greedy.
How am I suppose to get the mitochondria that I am entitled to, if they hoard them all?

I have most of the bases covered
Rest
low stress
Exercise (if paddling and surfing 10 to 20 hours a week count)
Eat...

I surfed 5 hours on Sunday and gained 8 lbs  :'(

Damn you for hogging all my mitochondria!

oh yeah... and Wet guy.... you have reached the age where you should be able to reduce the amount of "demands"  ;)
