Finally had to get out of the "soccer mom's van", and into something that doesn't get nearly as good of gas mileage.  :(

Still setting up the interior, but just not having to take apart the foil every sesh makes it all worth it.  :)
I saw Dan's new van right when he got it... I should say I smelled that brand spanken 'new car smell' and I bet that push you over the edge:)
Nice van Dave... A little more Manly than Dan's mini van ;D
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

I like the look of the different sized boards on my CRV with the fins on. I like to place them a little aft of center to avoid a lot of lift at highway speeds.

My newest surf/ride rig. Thankfully, it's a dedicated surf/ride rig...the 13mpg hurts.

^^^ NICE SSG!!! ^^^

I'm digging mine, and look forward to when I'll need new tires (which will be another 5 years for as little a distance I drive it daily) so I can upgrade the wheels at the same time, and I'm liking yours a lot! And yeah, only complaint is that the MPG blows!! :o :( :)
Me: 6'1"/185...(2) 5'1" Kings Foil/Wing Boards...7'10 Kings DW Board...9'6" Bob Pearson "Laird Noserider"...14' Lahui Kai "Manta"...8'0" WaveStorm if/when the proning urges still hit.

Yeah, I lifted it, new wheels/tires. My vanity overtook me as I wanted to not be confused with an Amazon delivery vehicle *as much*. Haha. Plus, ground clearance.

Your rig is sweet ssg.  I’ve just given up my used sprinter van self build plan and will probably bite the bullet and go with a finished ‘19.  Europe is way more restrictive with the inspection norms.

And now for the roof extension or pop up top. Or maybe just a full Aluminess platform rack with a pop up tent.

Nice Eric. Hard to carry all those boards and MTB's in a prius ::) Hope to see you out on the water. It's been too long.

Added a third wagon to our 'long-sedan' quiver.  These Outbacks have become as common as F-150s around here for the over-50 crowd.  Those flinty guys from Vermont who wear wool t-shirts and have chin knots are all pissed that geezers are coming along and wanting 'comforts'.  (I am amazed there are twenty Subaru dealerships in Florida—for 4WD cars?!)

Marjie was born/raised in the Canal Zone and keeps dual passports and would like to winter up in the coffee growing region. It's not going to happen, but I let her dream a bit by making her a dealer frame.

re mpg, loaded vans may not do much worse than my 19 forester with bikes/boards on a rack---racked gear effs mpg up significantly--could easily reduce mpg from high 20's to teens--a pair of mtb's on the roof is said to reduce mpg 30%--sounds about right to me

that's why i flip down front and rear seat and shove my boards in the car supthecreek-style

i put the least bulky, seemingly aerodynamic crossbars on the roof rails, in case of occasional rack needs--whistled noticeably, so they were removed, left in garage til rack need emerges

My old beach cruiser finally gave out. Turns out duct tape isn't enough to keep it going forever.
