3rd 2dr Civic since 2001, with my current SUP , but it also carries my canoe, and we've been thru 3 canoes, 3 kayaks, and 2 SUP's over the years.

Many many hi-way miles at 70+ mph... average one way travel time to water is 1 hour.

My circa 2010 Daihatsu Hijet Cargo “Rusty 2.0”  .  660 cc /3 cyl.  Full locking 4wd.
It’s 10 foot 4 inches long with two 9 foot soft sups on  ;)  it’s a mini tank.

That's a cute little bugger, CK.  ...and 4WD!  You guys also have those mini-PU trucks.  The beds are about the size of two conventional wheelbarrows. Too cute.

Love the Van CK. I've been eyeing up a Mitsubishi Delica that's in good shape.

My latest SUP mobile is a 2012 Taco that replaced my 98 Ford Ranger/Mazda B4000. Miss that little truck and it refused to die and was still running when I sold it on the original engine and tranny. Liking my Tacoma, and the set up works great for paddling.

From my college days. Mini-vans make the best surf mobiles. Cheap and tons of room. This gem was bought down in the FL keys for $400 bucks. Custom paint job from my roommates on my 21st Birthday. Had it up and down the east coast windsurfing and surfing for over 2 years, lived in full time for over 6 months. Top speed about 55, sold for $200.

Toyota Taco?.??.!  Had me scratching my head all morning haha! OH Tacoma! That’s a beauty taco!

I’d give my right lugnut for a Delica, they sell them in NA now?

Apparently  I'm using the lingo now that I'm a Tacoma owner lol. You have to import Delica vans but they are fairly common around here. I have seen both diesel and gas versions over the last month.

Recently acquired *Dad car*. This fits the kayak as well as two boards, and still fits into our parkade.

Pug,   I have probably had 6-7 brands of 'Wagons' since the 60's. We keep one SUV for trailer pulling and snow but my wife loves the V70 wagon ('bit soft for me) ...I jumped on a plane to snag a low miles Acura after they stopped importing.  The 'cube' behind the front seats on the Acura is larger than either their SUVs.  ..and I always find the racks useful  ...not requiring a fricking ladder to use Mercedes racks.

Wetstuff: Aesthetically, the Acura wagons are one of the nicest offerings out there.  I'm partial to long, low, sleek and sporty.  Load height is a breeze, MPGs are better, and handling is so much nicer.  My wife's Mazda 3, with attachment points on the roof for her Thule racks is about the easiest vehicle we've ever had to surf out of (but don't even think of spending the night inside).  Since she prefers Motel camping, this has become our surf ride of choice.  Mazda makes an awesome 6 wagon, but doesn't sell the thing in the US, much to my dismay.

Great Thread,

I know that this is not exactly a vehicle but it is how I transport my board. I thought that someone might be interested in this bike. It is made by IKEA, and advertised as rust proof. I thought it sounded interesting and checked it out. Belt drive, two speed internal automatic hub (no cables or shift changer), relatively wide tires, coaster rear brake and disc front. Relatively wide tires. I have been using it a lot on the beaches for the past year. Always rinse with fresh water at the end of the session. No rust........incredible in a marine environment!

Cheers
