My beautiful 69' Royal Enfield TT Interceptor 750. Ran the quarter 12.8 in May 1969. Those pants are hard to get these days!

Looking at that photo triggered this song, now I can't get it out of my head.

I don't mind other guys dancing with my girl
That's fine, I know them all pretty well
But I know sometimes I must get out in the light
Better leave her behind with the kids, they're alright
 The kids are alright

Sometimes, I feel I gotta get away
Bells chime, I know I gotta get away
And I know if I don't, I'll go out of my mind
Better leave her behind with the kids, they're alright
 The kids are alright

agree a reasonably driven motorcycle is safer than a bicycle. certainly in the big city. used to ride bicycle to work daily--thought it would provide a couple of pieces of healthy exercise ea day--i found, instead, that I was arriving at work/home angry, having been carelessly endangered by idiots in a cars trucks or taxis. i think it was the anger that made me stop--not healthy engaging a dangerous rat race at the start of ea day--anything but healthy

and i think the most dangerous of all are the vespa-style scooters. they go plenty fast, have small wheels, handle poorly.

better to read on the subway
