Mrbig, I've not taken it out.  I'm meeting up with Dave and Buck tomorrow to watch Brad Gerlach and Martin Potter surf against each other in the heritage series at the Hurley Pro at Trestles.  Thereafter we are SUS'ing DP.  I'm looking forward to it and will report back.

Sanosup ... I will take pics to tomorrow.  Also, if I'm down at DP, you are more than welcome to take it out for the spin.

Any event, after surfing the Sidewinder in 4-6 feet at DP yesterday, I stayed home and surf the local reef (2-4 feet) with the SS.  With the wider nose, it was pretty easy paddled into the wave.  Being only 28.5 inches wide, it turned quite good, almost as good as my 9'0 Stewart CMP.  I failed to wax the nose so no running to the nose this morning.  I'd no problem paddling it 1.5 miles from the house to the local reef break.

I hope you also had a chance to see Slater's clutch finish against Taj, and JJF's freakish heat (best high performance surfing I've ever seen).

Both of your new boards look amazing.

RAT, how are things going on this SS?  Such a sweet looking board.  Curious to hear how it rides.

Sorry for the late reply.

It's 9'2x28.5x4.

She is a blast to ride in knee to chest high waves.  Nice and easy to paddle into wave without being corky and easy turning on the rail.  She loved me nose riding her without the leash (crowd permitting)!

Aw! Any event, I wet out two days ago in butt-slapper waves and tried the nose with the 6.0 Performance center fin.  I was unable to get fully to the nose as the tail refused to hold.  I went out today in chest/shoulder waves with a bit more juice using an old traditional long board fin (longer and with more rake) and was able to get to the nose.  Pic is from two days ago with the 6.0 Performance fin.  No GoPro today 'cause I did not want to look like a kook in the weekend and crowded line-up.  I gave up some looseness with the longer fin.

I have SS 9'2"x 29x 4.1 119 lts. Supert thin rails, super great board. If you could ONLY have one (hopefully that will NEVER happen) this would be it.  I'm more of a short board style guy but gotta have one of these in the quiver, rips turns and noserides!
